Who Are We?
Domaine Tavibois offers the rental of 21 cottages (10 of which are available during the winter season) nestled in the heart of nature. From cozy individual cabins to large cottages that can accommodate up to 30 people, the site is ideal for family vacations or enjoying solitude in a peaceful environment. Reception halls are also available for family gatherings or business meetings.
The Domaine enjoys an exceptional location: easily accessible by road (less than 10 minutes from highway 55 by car), yet very secluded in nature. There are no visible neighbors on the property and no noise pollution, only peace and quiet.
Domaine Tavibois is still one of Mauricie’s best-kept secrets. Set on 85 acres of land where forests meet lakes, it offers a truly unique setting of peace and quiet.
Our History
Founded in 1951 by Mgr Albert Tessier, Dr. Avila Denoncourt, and Father Paul Boivin, the site was lovingly maintained for decades by a religious congregation. As a result, the facilities remain in good condition and have preserved their original charm. The name "Tavibois" is a tribute to the site's first co-owners who cleared and developed the land :

In 2016, the Domaine was acquired by the Corporation de Développement de Hérouxville, a non-profit organization.

The current development vision for the Domaine aims to carry forward its original mission while bringing a touch of modernity. Our ambition is to make Tavibois the premier wellness and retreat center in Mauricie : a place where people can reconnect with nature while engaging in personal renewal and growth.
